Petermann Glacier, Greenland

During the summer of 2015, I took part in an expedition to the Petermann Glacier, in northwest Greenland.  Our group from UW-Madison will be collected 170 erratic boulder samples from Washington Land, lateral moraines of the Petermann Glacier (behind me in the photo below), and the islands within Nares Strait (yellow dots on map below).  We are using 10Be cosmogenic dating to decipher the Holocene deglacial history of the Petermann Glacier and adjacent Washington Land (see map).
